The fence that Alan put up for me is one width of chicken wire stapled or hooked onto wooden laths. To plant the tomato (and basil), I just unhooked the wire and peeled it back. Works like a charm! So far the varying hares are foiled. -- Jan
My summer home is a cabin in the woods in Cape Breton. No power, no running water. But it is beautiful here and at least I can comfort myself with the knowledge that I am reducing my yearly average carbon footprint.
